ATTENTION! Please Read!

Please understand that there ARE RISKS involved with having your bird trimmed. It is NOT COMMON, but the Stress of a Trim CAN CAUSE a Heart Attack, Seizure, Stroke, or Death. Genetics, Old Age, Poor Health, and Fatty Diets can put birds at an Increased Risk. In asking us to groom your bird, you are acknowledging that you are aware of the risk involved, and that our Staff/Store cannot be held liable in the event that any of the above were to occur. If a bird is visibly at increased risk we will make you aware beforehand. Our Staff is trained to look for physical indicators of high risk birds and may even refuse to trim a bird if they believe the risk outweighs the benefit. Providing relevant information such as your birds age, health history, diet, etc. will help us make the safest decision for your individual bird.

In the event that a trim does result in a negative outcome, we understand that grief affects everyone differently and can be very powerful and overwhelming. That being said, please understand that our Staff/Store is grieving with you, so please be kind. We will do our best to comfort/support you in your time of need, but pointing blame, making unfounded accusations, and causing a scene is unnecessary and hurtful. We deeply care about the birds, and the loss of any bird for any reason weighs heavily on our hearts.

Trimming

Prices include trimming beak, wings, and nails. We recommend birds are trimmed every 4 to 6 weeks.

Small birds- $5*

Medium birds- $10*

Large Birds- $15*

The pictures below are birds that were not brought in for trimming every 4-6 weeks and therefore had massively overgrown beaks/nails. When birds' beaks get neglected, it affects their ability to eat and more. If surface overgrowth on the beak is unchecked, moisture can collect underneath and cause beak rot.
